Sausage Stuffing
This hack on stuffing is easy but so delicious, your guests will think you made it from scratch!
Easy - Beginner recipe 6 ingredients
🍽 16 ounces Italian sweet sausage
🍽 3/4 cup chopped shallots
🍽 1 cup chopped celery
🍽 3 cups water
🍽 1/2 cup (1 stick) butter
🍽 2 packages (6 ounces each) Stove Top Stuffing mix
Combine sausage, celery, and shallots in a skillet over medium heat. Cook, stirring frequently, until sausage is browned and crumbled, 5 to 7 minutes. Remove cooked mixture from heat - do not dispose of the excess oil (you want that for flavor!).
Pour water into a large saucepan and bring to a boil. Stir in butter until melted. Add stuffing mix, cover, and remove from heat. Let stand 5 minutes. Add cooked sausage mixture (including the oil) and stir to combine.
