You may have seen this floating around on IG this holiday season. I know I did. It looked delicious and I absolutely had to try it.
I can promise you that it IS as delicious as it looks!!
Grab the recipe below, but feel free to click HERE for the full IG video;
Ingredients:
2 sheets puff pastry
Nutella (or any hazelnut spread)
1 egg
Sugar (1/2 tsp)
Powdered Sugar
Steps:
1. Roll out one puff pastry sheet into a large rectangle on a lightly floured surface and place on the prepared baking sheet.
2. Spread nutella over the triangle in a thin layer with the back of a spoon. Place the 2nd puff pastry sheet on top.
3. Lightly score puff pastry into the shape of a Christmas tree (triangle) with a wide base. Twist the branches on both sides of the scored Christmas tree.
4. Brush egg wash over the Christmas tree.
5. Sprinkle sugar.
6. Bake at 400 for 12 minutes.
7. Dust the Christmas tree with powdered sugar.
The leftover puff pastry can be rolled up to make some bite-sized treats!
